Mark of Cain: Sin and Stigma

Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” Then the Lord said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him. Then Cain went away from the presence of the Lord.

Genesis 4:13

The word “mark” is אוֹת, pronounced “oat”, which means ‘sign’. It is the same word used in “the sign of the covenant” for both the rainbow and circumcision. But no one has any idea what it is in the case of Cain. Some have speculated it is a mark on his forehead or hand, or a darker skin tone. Regardless, people saw the sign and knew not to hurt him, even if they despised him for killing his brother. It both stigmatized and protected him.

How could a sign have such contradictory properties? Because from Cain’s perspective, he would never have to know why people looked at him askance. He could actually forget his sin, and assume others were just distracted by the stigma. He could be forgiven, and did not have to live in perpetual fear, even if his stinginess continued to unexpectedly get the better of him.

Cain’s descendant 7 generations later, Lamech, actually turned the stigma into a sign of pride and power:

Lamech said to his wives:

“I have killed a man for wounding me,
and a young man for striking me.
If Cain’s revenge is sevenfold,
then Lamech’s is seventy-sevenfold.”

Genesis 4:23

Perhaps by then the people had forgotten Cain’s ‘original sin’. Now Lamech could instigate people to attack him and retaliate with great force and impunity. In subsequent generations, Joseph’s brothers would claim he had been killed by a wild beast, and several generations after that, Moses would blame ‘Amalek’ for massacres against us. The stigma was now a weapon, and some of us were more useful as a statistic.

Like Lamech, Zionists today instigate their neighbors to violence, and then respond with disproportionate destruction. This is why Netanyahu and the fascists will be re-elected: because Zionists need to be hated and despised. It serves the dual purpose of inciting violence by Palestinians as a pretext to retaliate against them, and to distract from their ‘original sin’ of causing the Holocaust. They can say to themselves, “They don’t despise us for our complicity in the deaths our brothers, they hate us simply because we are Jews.” Like their ancestor Cain, they don’t have to feel responsible, and they don’t have to know the real reason. They never have to bear the punishment.

However in order to assuage their guilt and shame, Zionists must continually commit new atrocities to create plausible deniability from previous ones. It is a vicious cycle. The IDF shoots kids for ‘throwing stones’ and for no reason at all. A Palestinian father of a dead young man laments: “The soldier who killed him, what is he telling his wife? Is he happy?” The answer can be found in Lamech’s vow.

Cain killed Abel out of jealousy of his brother’s success:

And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering, but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell. The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door.”

Genesis 4:4

Similarly, Jews from Brooklyn, jealous of the success of their prosperous and generous Jewish brothers in the USA, fly to Israel to move into settlements to find their joy in oppressing Palestinians. Instigation ‘crouches’ in every direction, even if it seems completely unintentional. They ally with right wing autocrats across Europe to instigate strife, and fascists around the world to make people hate us. They decry the rise of ‘antisemitism’ in the USA by wild beasts like Alice Walker and Angela Davis. Then when their targets retaliate in petty and pathetic ways, they cry ‘antisemitism’ and claim that all Jews are now at risk. And if we don’t embrace their delusion that we must retaliate with overwhelming force, they forsake us. If we in the diaspora are slaughtered again, we have only ourselves to blame. Like Cain, they are not their brothers’ keeper.

Socialist Jews also suffer the same complex. Driven insane by jealousy of their prosperous capitalist brothers, they now must be despised so that they can both deny their complicity in the Holocaust and make our host population hate us and want to kill us. Young Jews from IfNotNow block traffic on 7th Avenue and link arms to prevent access to a large office building in the city. Angry residents then retaliate against conspicuous Jews in the city, so they can beseech me: “Join our Bund/Worker’s Collective/Bernie Circle, and we will protect you from the ‘antisemites.'”

The target of both Zionist and Socialist Jews are the centrist, Torah-loving, liberal Jews. We are valuable to them only as a statistic, which after getting us killed they can point to and say, “This is why you must give us more power.” Host governments are all too happy to comply. The stigma has transformed from blame to sympathy. Like Cain, it protected them when G_d was not with them. But its power is waning. We will soon face a reckoning for the enormity of our sin.

And the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries to me from the ground.”

Next Exodus

You shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day. – Deut. 5:15

We were given freedom, not all at once, but in stages. Even after leaving bondage in Egypt, we were still commanded to work 6 days a week. However one day was free for us to relax and enjoy and feel holy. Similarly we were given a Jubilee Year, which occurs every 50 years, on which all slaves are freed. This commandment is the origin of the Liberty Bell quote: “Proclaim liberty throughout the land and to all the inhabitants thereof.”

Forget Amalek

Amalek is the mythical, eternal enemy of the Jews. It preys on the weak amongst us: “Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt; How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee.” (Deut. 25:17) We are commanded to never forget the existential threat of Amalek to the Jewish peoples.

The Women’s March saved us from the Trumpocalypse. Just a few days after the inauguration they came out by the millions to protest. Trump saw them and realized his despotic and autocratic dreams would not be realized. The marchers were an amalgam of many social and ethnic groups – blacks, gays, women, Jews, Muslims and immigrants. Yet now even as Trump shuts down the government to extort the country to accede to his abominable border wall, the Jews have embarked on a crusade against ‘antisemitism’ among the March leaders. The end result could be that democrats are weakened and give in, and after the construction is started on the wall, and immigrants are rounded up, Trump will then round up the Jews to send us back to ‘your country‘. Or even worse, he will detain us indefinitely: “We can’t send them back to Israel – the wall isn’t built yet you idiot!”

The Plot Against America

Donald Trump came to power promising to undermine and even eviscerate our most precious constitutional protections.  This included “opening up our libel laws”, “shutting down parts of the internet”, banning flag burning, monitoring Islamic institutions, opening up mental institutions, taking away due process, using torture, and many other examples.  His campaign was systematic and comprehensive, and yet when he came to power, he was thwarted at every turn.  The people spoke out against him, and our institutions are independent and resilient.  He is no longer a threat to the country, and can be kept in his box.

FOR INSTRUCTIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.  NOT AN ENDORSEMENT. He is an antisemite, yet he is exercising the country’s free speech muscle.  This more than anything will keep the Jews safe.

Back to the Garden

And the LORD G_d said, “Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever” — so the Lord G_d banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.  So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the Garden of Eden Cherubim, and a flaming sword turning every way, to guard the way to the Tree of Life. – Genesis 3:22

Marc Chagall. The Expulsion from the Garden of Eden. 1960

G_d promised us that if we followed His word, He would deliver us to the Land of Milk and Honey.  We have upheld our end of the bargain, and so He has fulfilled His covenant, and then some.  Continue reading Back to the Garden

The Myth of Antisemitism

So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek…. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy…. The Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation. – Exodus 17:10

Antisemitism is an irrational fear and hatred of Jews.  It lies dormant in every population until something comes along and ignites it, at which point it spreads like a wildfire, or a cancer, or a virus.  It quickly infects the entire population, which then turns against the Jews to kill any who cannot escape.  Such an impulse exists only against the Jews and no other ethnic group.  A few ‘rational’ explanations may be offered.  For example, ‘race mania’ and ‘insane jealousy’.  Regardless, the Jews are completely blameless.  Any suggestion to the contrary is actually a sign of antisemitism.

The Loophole

The Torah does not prohibit slavery, though it provides many laws regarding the procurement and treatment of slaves, and requires their release every 7 years.  Slavery was of course common in the ancient world, and only in the last few hundred years has it been mostly abolished.  Similarly the Torah contains many laws on crime and justice, such as murder, rape, theft and drunkenness.  However there is one glaring exception about which the Torah is silent: child abuse.  While man may not lie with man as with a woman, there is no similar prohibition when it comes to children.  Whether this is an oversight or loophole, the ultra-orthodox have exploited it to great effect.  Child sex abuse is rampant in these communities.  This is why they love the Torah and cleave to it for dear life.

“Smile you’re going to learn Torah.”

How to Cause Another Holocaust

The key to instigating a genocide against one group in a society is to stoke resentments in all the other groups so that they are polarized against the target and align with each other to destroy the ’cause of all their troubles’.  This was of course, how the Nazis killed the Jews in the Holocaust.  Beyond that, fomenting division and infighting within the target group weakens it so that it cannot defend itself.  The Jews were significantly divided into many factions, such as Zionists, bolsheviks, haredi, and liberal, and thus were unable to ally to protect themselves.  In fact they despised each other much as they do today.

First They Came for Alex Jones

I was just suspended again (for 3 days) on Facebook, for the third time.  They claim it was a violation of ‘Community Standards’ but they don’t specify the violation.  I recently posted a screenshot of an alleged violation.  You can tell me what you think it is.  Antisemitism?  Homophobia?  Anti-Zionism?  I don’t think it is any of those things, nor have any of them been alleged.  Today’s violation was a 12 minute video I posted a few days ago.  Of course I can’t upload it to youtube lest the same thing happen.  Please download and watch and let me know if you can figure out the problem.  And tell facebook what you think of my suspension.  If this happens again I will be banned permanently.

Pinkwashing Genocide

This Thursday (Aug 2), thousands of gay Jews and their allies will gather in Jerusalem for the annual Gay Pride parade.  I went last year and it was a exuberant celebration by a flourishing and essential faction of modern Israeli society.  However there were 2 big differences between this and other similar parades.  First of all, the entire route is lined with soldiers toting machine guns to ‘protect’ us not from the Muslims but from the ultra orthodox Jews.  A few years ago a girl was stabbed and killed during the parade.  You can hear the extremists screaming angrily through megaphones in the distance but you cannot see them.  Continue reading Pinkwashing Genocide
